Our family of 10 made an eight day customized tour to Beijing and Xian which fulfilled our intention to introduce our grandchildren to their heritage. The tour guide in Beijing had some problem in English and could not provide easy to understand explanations of the history of sights like Tiananmen and Temple of Heaven. She was however very friendly and gave her best effort to arouse the interest of the kids. The guide in Xian spoke fluent English. Our kids benefitted greatly from his thorough and interesting interpretations on the stories of Tarra Cotta Warriors and the overall history of Qin Dynasty. The 5 star hotel Renwei (人卫) in Beijing, a state owned operation, was substandard and with no climate control. But the hotel in Xian, Grand Noble Hotel, lived up to the 5 star rating.

We opted to take all dinners on our own and were able to make the reservations while in the States. The lunches provided by the tour were plain despite the effort of introducing the local specialties such as Peking Duck and Xian Jiazhi (饺子宴)

Dragon Delight headquarters in Fuzhou has been most responsive before and during the tour to any questions and situations that arose. They provided quality and cost effective packages. The Beijing Xian tour was the second time we booked with them.

Now regarding our review of your wonderful trip to China that you organised for us...do I have to write it up on the Dragon delight website?

As you heard from my sister, we had a wonderful wonderful trip, and we can put that all down to you and your company and all the work you put into arranging everything for us. The hotel's , airport pick ups and transfers were seamless and the guides were all fantastic.

We have all said, all, four of us that we would not hestitate to recommend you and all your. Hard-working and dedicated staff to out friends and family.

One issue that we did feel needed to be mentioned was the tipping for all the different guides. In all we had a total of 5 tour guides, this excluded the Yangtze cruise leg.
Maybe next time you should mention that tipping is required, so that prospective clients factor this into the cost of the trip. We discovered this extra cost during the first few days and worked this in accordingly.

Anyway Daniel, I will definately make sure I write a review for your website tonight.

We cannot thank you guys enough for the fantastic schedule and for being able to change plans so quickly in regards to Suzhou. Thank you so much.

we have returned from our trip to your wonderful country. All in our group had a really wonderful and memorable trip to the places you arranged for us.

Thank you for all the work that you did in making the arrangements for us. Your attention to the details and our needs were planned and organized very professionally, consistent with the high ratings given by others.
The tour guides were very good and in all the places we went they were professional, helpful and very nice as persons. We were pleasantly surprised at the level of English spoken by all the guides.

The accommodations were good, although I would make a general comment applicable to all the hotels. They should vacuum the rooms after each guest and make a special effort to remove stains and other spots left by the guests.

The food was excellent in all the hotels and other restaurants we frequented. As Asians we really appreciated the good Chinese cuisine. Thanks for the Peking Duck!

While we were not able to communicate verbally, we found the people to be genuinely warm.
Our only complaint was that we were not able to spend more time in China, especially Shanghai.

From our first enquiry we found your responses both extremely fast and very helpful, and even though we changed our itinerary round quite a few times you we always quick to reply and very helpful with your suggestions, and we thank you for your patience and understanding in creating our own personalised tour.
The tour itself was a most amazing trip, and China certainly has some truly beautiful scenery and wildlife along side ancient historical wonders. But the real gems of China are its helpful and happy people.

Our tour involved 2 train journeys and 3 internal flights along with many miles in taxi’s and while the potential for things to go wrong was great I am very pleased to tell you it all went very smoothly and we were met at each destination by our smiling friendly guides who took care of us so well from the moment they met us.

Some of the highlights of our tour were the beautiful natural scenery of Guilin and the amazing man made terraces of Longji, and we especially want to praise our guide Helen in Guilin who brought it to life for us with her explanations, she certainly went out of her way to make us feel welcome to China and we would appreciate your conveying our thanks to her in particular. From Guilin we went to Xian and were immersed in 2000 years of history, the sight of the Terracotta army was truly breath taking and is a memory that will stay with us forever. From Xian we went to Chengdu and saw perhaps the greatest symbol of China, the giant panda, we took over 800 photographs and still love looking at those beautiful animals, again our thanks go to our guide Linda who was so much fun.

In all it was the most wonderful tour we have ever done, and most of it I have to say was due to your care, planning and preparing our holiday. I cannot praise your company highly enough and again send our thanks to you and will recommend your company to anyone wishing to tour in China. We hope to return to China again as there is so much more to see, and when we do we will most certainly be contacting Dragon Delight to organize it for us.

I am writting this e-mail to give our special thanks to our excellent Tour Guide Jeremy and excellent driver (whose name I am sorry I forgot) during our trip to Guilin.

My wife and I simply loved and enjoyed every moment we stayed in Guilin.

Jeremy, you certainly know China history, culture and this region geography very well and we appreciated very much your teachings, your assistance, pacience and care with us.

You speak very good English and all your hints were helpfull. We can tell you are very capable, efficient and proud of your profession and you sure love what you do.

We enjoyed a lot to go around the lake area (amasing Christal Bridge, walk by Shanhu Lake Gardens and ways, see the Twin Pagodas + boats + people), the marevellous Li River boat cruise, the wonderfull Yangshuo Village, The interesting Elephant Trunk Hill, delicious lunch at that other hotel (I forget the name but where there was a water fountain we coud see from the hotel restaurant) you took us (one of the best meals we had while we were in China), the Chair Lift + Marriage Show + Tobogan ride.

Of course, I cannot forget to thank Linda Lai for every thing and also for letting us to change/replace our last visiting point the Reed Flute Cave by the exciting Chair Lift ride at Yao Mauntain, where we could see a unexpected 10 minutes Marriage Show + enjoy a Tobogan ride.

Well! Thank you all for your professionalism, efficiency, dedication and Always willing to please the customers.

All this definately makes the difference when choosing a Tour Company that meet our needs.

Guilin was certainly a positive unforgetable piece of our trip. We want to come back and will certainly recommend you.

Indeed, we had a delay and scare with the boat accident on the Yangtze, but recovered nicely. The boat trip actually exceeded our expectations and we had a lovely, relaxed time on this scenic tour. My wife and I recently returned from our 17 day organised tour of China including Tibet. Every aspect of our tour was fantastic.

We were greeted at each destination by a very friendly local guide, fluent in English, that provided vast knowledge of the local region, particularly the attractions we visited.

The quality of the hotels exceeded our expectation. At the end of long day sight seeing it was reassuring to know a good night sleep on a comfortable bed awaits.

Each hotel provided a buffet breakfast which included Eastern and Western dishes. The local Chinese cuisine provided for lunches was delicious and plentiful.

It is a long time since we returned from China back to Canada...But always busy I have neglected to tell you how pleased and excited we were for our trip that you arranged for us. Thanks a lot for the care that you put into arranging our itinerary. I should also mention that we were very pleased with our guides. 3 very different guides but all very pleasant and informative in their own way. I have to highlight our guide in Kashgar which we found to be outstanding.

We had a little difficulty in Chengdu with the hotel but since we are well traveled and know these things happen, it did not bother us too much.
We will be planning another trip to China next spring when we plan to contact you again for your expertise guidance.

We are now back in Vancouver and wanted to thank you and Dragon Delight for taking such good care of us. Your guides did a great job of telling the story of the places we saw. We were particularly impressed with Gary [Beijing], Ivy [Xian who straightened our flights out with China Eastern], and Huang Sung "Handsome" [the driver in Shanghai with a sunshine smile who was so helpful getting us on the plane when Doug was not feeling well.] Once we got to our hotel in Beijing and established contact with the tour it went seamlessly. We were blown away by the Shanghai Acrobats that you were so generous to include. The Victoria Liana was a nice replacement for the Blue Whale and the 3 Gorges cruise was very impressive. The hotels were excellent, particularly the one in Shanghai which was luxurious and had a breakfast buffet with a huge and changing menu of typically Chinese items.

So this is all to say many thanks and to let you know that should you want an enthusiastic recommendation we would be more than pleased to do so.

I would like to give you our impression of the trip you have arranged for us for your information.

(1) Everybody had a grand time on this trip and generally thought the itinerary to be well put together. One important reason why the many one night stays were not stressful was because we did not have to rush in the morning for the next destination. One nighter plus early morning departure would have been bad.

(2) The two guides, Jacky for Guizhou and Hill for Guangxi, were exceptional. Jacky's English was excellent and he understood and anticipated the needs of American tourists very well. Hill's English was not as good but he is an seasoned professional and performed very well. We would not hesitate to use either one again. I do think most of my group would have prefer one guide and driver for the entire trip rather than changing as we cross the provincial border.

(3) The only negative occurred on Day 2 when we stopped at Tianlong Town. It was only marginally interesting and the lunch there was below par. Fortunately we decided to add Dragon Palace, the underground cavern, as an extra side trip. For your future clients, I would suggest that you replace Tianlong with Longgong.

(4) Traveling in Guizhou, having a skillful and careful driver is crucial. En route we saw one car plunged off the highway. I did not see enough of the Guangxi driver to comment but Yang Jun, the driver from Guiyang, was outstanding. He was steady, alert and careful. He amazed all of us with the way he could back up or move into tight corners.

As a satisfied customer, I would not hesitate to recommend Dragon Delight to others and I would certainly consider contracting you for my next trip to China. I don't have any trip in mind now and would welcome your suggestions.

I was going to send you an email regarding our experience.

The whole group had an absolutely awesome experience in Beijing. Our tour guide (Lydia) and driver (Mr Soong?) went above and beyond what we had expected. We even learnt more about the places we had been than through the your company rather than the tour guide we had there. (Different Company)
I could not emphasise enough how impressed the whole group was with the experience and they definitely made life easier for us, whether that be speaking to the locals, switching us to a more authentic restaurant or finding new places for us to go. They even went out of their way to take us back to Tiananmen Square, after it was closed during our allocated time slot. The wholw group really appreciated their initiative and willingness to go the extra mile to make our trip more enjoyable.

The driver and Guide were incredibly professional, punctual, friendly and were happy to oblige on any request we put to them.

The hotel was comfortable and provided easy access to transport and local hotspots.

The meals included were good, we liked our tour guides initiative in finding more traditional restaurants for us to eat at, it helped to create a more enjoyable experience.

Lydia and Mr Soong definitely made it a memorable trip for us and all 6 of were incredibly happy with the experience and wouldn't hesitate to go through your company if/when we book another trip to China.

We just arrived home a few hours ago and I wanted to thank you for all of your help with our travel to and from Macau to Guangzhou. Ronald was a fabulous guide. Perfectly warm, gracious and delightful to be with. It made the 3 hours drive seem to go by quickly. And yes, I have to admit that your allowances for time were exactly right. Thank you for your suggestions.

We did get out of the Guangzhou airport fairly quickly after our domestic flight from Chengdu. I think it was about 30-40 minutes. For our arrival back it took about 35 minutes to get through the Gongbei port and then the 3 hour drive to Guangzhou airport. So we arrived about 2.5 hours before our flight and made the flight in sufficient time. I am just letting you know so you can confirm the travel time and allowances in case someone else decides to travel in the way we did. The restroom stops also worked out just fine. The van was very comfortable to travel in. Although it was not as fast as flying it gave us an extra opportunity to see more of the China countryside and towns, along with learning so much about all of them from Ronald.

We were quite pleased with all of the help and how through Ronald was with the details, even walking in with us to the check-in counter at the airport and helping with our luggage.

If we know of anyone traveling to China we will certainly recommend your services.

I had a lovely time in Beijing and greatly appreciate the way Selina showed me around. 
She is very knowledgeable about all of the sites and brought it to life as she showed little things like which door the emperor would walk through etc.

The car drivers were both very polite and I was completely relaxed with them driving.

The Hotel was very satisfactory - I was expecting a much lower standard than I received.  In Australia, a 3-star accommodation would be very sparse - but not for China.

The meals were all OK.  It was interesting to sample different styles of food.

All in all I had a good time and would not hesitate to recommend your company to anyone I hear of who is going to China.
